How I overcame depression
How I overcame depression
I can remember it was in the year 2019.I had married like a year ago. I remember I had rented a house just next to my sister. My sister was doing well in life financially, emotionally and physically. Personally I was working in a certain private school, by then I can say my salary was just a 'peanut' in other words it could not cater for my needs so I had to ask my sister what she does to avoid living a good life. I was admiring her way of life so I decided to ask her where she was getting all these monies. The answer was the beginning of my depression. She
introduced me to a chama that is all over Kenya called Usher Kenya. I believe her intention was good, I can't blame her anyway. Ideally I had planned to take a small loan and start a business. The idea was not that bad....... I registered to the chama with 4000. After Like 2 months I was called to sign a form of 20k.After signing I was told to go home the money would be sent through M-pesa. At around 6pm that day I received a message from Mpesa that I have received 20k from the chama. My plan was to go to Gikomba market and buy second hand clothes and off course that's what I did. I had to sell those clothes in a nearby open air markets. The bail costed 16k.Now with a mutush bail I decided to quit my teaching profession Little did I know the worst is ahead of me ,so I decided to take the clothes myself to the market, the first day I made 2k 'this business is good'i thought. I was to start serving my loan the following week. By the first week I had made 7k this was my whole month salary. According to my thinking the this business could give me 21k in a month.Misfortunes started when the clothes started growing old. I had to lower the price coz the competition was a bit higher than I expected. I had paid my loan for 2 months that is 8k. The balance was 14k. The third month the business became harder and harder such that I could go home with as little as 200 sometimes even100.I gave up on the second week of the third month. By then my wife had delivered a baby boy. She was a stay home mum. At the end of the third month I was unable to pay my rent,i was unable to surface my loan balance of 13k. After failing to pay for 3weeks continuously. The chama officials approached me. We agreed that I should clears the arrears soonest possible. I tried to take my old clothes to the market no buyer was interested.I thought of applying a job. Every school I visited I would be told. Try next term that's when I realized siku ya nyani kufa miti huteleza. One day I was visited by 100+ members of the chama and some officials. The officials asked 'mnataka tufanye nini? ' I heard them saying 'tunatoa kila kitu! ' they entered my house they took everything they only left a glass that I was using to drink some water and some dirty clothes that my newborn had used.I can remember my wife trying to plead with them but all these fell on deaf ears. From that point I felt like I am nobody my esteem just vanished instantly. I was just like a bhang addict. My sister was nowhere to be found. My wife turned the blame on me the only thing I heard as she left wewe ni mwanamme wa aina gani. I didn't even know where she went. I was left alone in my own world.I only remember God after keeping him aside for quite a long time. Just as I was walking out of the plot. The landlord was parking his car with some police officers. ''This man has not paid my rent for 2 months." The rent arrears was 4800.The police stopped me and asked me to go closer. They took me to the police station.I stayed there for some days and they realeased me after agreeing to pay the money after 3 weeks that I was given.i know you are asking where were my family members I did not see any. After leaving the police station I went to my uncle's place he owned me some money. I didn't share my problems with him. I just asked him to give me money. After an argument with him. He told me to give him 2 weeks. I just walked out slowly I can only remember I found myself walking along Thika road. I had already walked like 35 kilometers from my home area.I was stopped by a hooting van. I only realised myself when somebody hit me with a nyaunyo.Thats when I knew I'm in the hands of highway patrol police. They asked me "what time is this ?"I just said "saa moja." I heard the police who was left in the car saying "wee kijana ni mwendawazimu ,saa hii ni saa nane za usiku.Onyango malizia hiyo ny'ang'au " the officer said apana acha tupeleke yeye ndani so I slept in the cell then in the morning the ocs called me in the morning and asked me my problems. This is the time I shared what I was going through. To cut the wrong story short the ocs paid for me some counseling sessions. I went through them. I am now a recovered man.Lessons I learnt

-The foul smell that comes from your vagina could be a warning sign in women as it indicates presence of bacterial infections or parasites that can be transmitted through unprotected sexual contacts.
-This foul smell is similar to the smell of rotten fish and generally accompanied by others symptoms like itchness, burning during urinating and a discharge that is yellow green. To some extent pain during sex.
-If you note all these please visit a gynecologist as soon as possible to start appropriate treatment.
